Robert Tierney, a visiting scholar at NYU Wagner's Taub Urban Research Center in 2002, was named chair of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission by Mayor Bloomberg. Mr. Tierney, an expert in state and local governance, was Counsel to former Mayor Ed Koch, and later, Chairman of the New York City Water Board. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of both the Citizens Union Foundation and the Citizens Budget Commission, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives.
