Christopher Faris
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Policy


Chris Faris is on leave from the Australian Department of Climate Change.  From 2007 to 2010, he worked at the center of climate change policy-making in the Australian Government.  He has negotiated climate finance in the UNFCCC, written Government policy on climate change and the Pacific, and advised on mitigation policy, most notably cap-and-trade.  He has five years prior experience working in development and peace-keeping in Egypt, Bhutan and Sudan, and over two years as a political adviser in Australia’s Parliament House. He completing his Executive MPA at Wagner (2012), and is currently consulting with the Environmental Defense Fund.
