Eduardo Moncada
Postdoctoral Fellow


Eduardo Moncada is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University and Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Rutgers University - Newark.  His areas of interest include comparative urban politics, the political economy of development, and democratization.  Eduardo completed his Ph.D. in Political Science at Brown University in 2011. His research has been supported by the American Society of Criminology, the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship program, the Fulbright-Hays program, the Graduate Program in Development and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Brown University, the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation, and the Program on Order, Conflict and Violence at Yale University. Eduardo completed a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies at the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Global College / Long Island University.  His current book project focuses on the role of business actors in shaping local government responses to urban violence in Latin America.
