Caroline Nordlund
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service


Caroline Nordlund is currently the Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics at Lake Forest College. Prior to this position, Dr. Nordlund was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Dickinson College and an Adjunct Professor at Stonehill College. She has worked on the Crossroads Campaigns where she provided strategic advice for congressional campaigns and ballot referendums. As well, Dr. Nordlund lent her time as State Finance and Compliance Director for the Michigan Coordinated Campaign and as Events Coordinator for the Myrth for Governor(RI) Campaign.

Dr. Nordlund received her Masters of Art and PhD in Political Science from Brown University. She has developed and taught such courses as Introduction to Public Policy, Urban & Suburban Politics, Race & Politics in the Age of Obama and more.  Dr. Nordlund regularly serves as a Panel Discussant at the Midwest Political Science Conference. She is also a member of the American Political Science Association, the Midwest Political Science Association, the Western Political Science Association, and the Political Behavior Workshop at Northwestern University. She’s currently producing works focused on racial identification and minority representation.
