Assistant Professor of Public Service
NYU Wagner invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with appointment to begin September 1, 2017. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and a record of research in financial management, budgeting, accountability and performance, or the design of institutions. Successful candidates will contribute to our Master of Public Administration and new Master of Science in Public Policy programs and will have demonstrated excellence in research. A Ph.D. in public administration, political science, or a related field is required and must be conferred by August 31, 2017.
Assistant Professor of Public Service (Urban Planning)
NYU Wagner invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in urban studies with appointment to begin September 1, 2017. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline. We seek applicants who are enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary environment and in a school of public service, where innovative and cross-disciplinary research is valued, and where local and global perspectives are brought into dialogue. Candidates should have strong research interests and demonstrated capacity in one or more substantive areas of relevance for this position, including urban planning, environmental planning and ecosystems management, geography, public policy, political science, sociology, or economics. The new faculty member will play a leadership role in research, teaching (including core courses), and program development.
Clinical Faculty Position in Public Service Communications
NYU Wagner invites applicants for a clinical faculty member with expertise in public policy communications in a public service environment, including government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and/or healthcare or hospital organizations. In addition to teaching, successful candidates will be responsible for directing a cohort of students in NYU Wagner’s new Master of Science in Public Policy program with the goal of developing and creating a cohesive academic and co-curricular student experience
