Notification

All scholarship recipients are notified of their award, as well as rights and responsibilities via electronic personal letters. All scholarship awards are final at the time of notification.

Merit-Based Scholarships

Merit-based scholarships for the academic year have minimum registration requirements stated in your original acceptance letter. Scholarships are applied towards tuition and can only cover coursework that will count towards the degree. Students who fall below their minimum registration requirements should email the Office of Academic Services. In this case, scholarship awards will drop or be canceled accordingly. Failure to do so may result in owing money to the University in the future.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to both domestic and international students, and to both full-time and part-time students. New applicants who apply by the scholarship deadline will automatically be considered for all awards and no separate application is necessary.

Summer Scholarships

Summer Scholarship allocations are processed separately from Fall and Spring awards. All students who are interested in receiving Summer Scholarships should adhere to the Summer scholarship deadline. Only students who submit applications by the deadline will be considered.

Scholarship awards do not include summer term. All students are eligible to apply for Summer scholarships, including students who are not receiving an award for the Fall and Spring terms. Summer scholarships are based entirely on cumulative academic achievement at the Wagner school, and on availability of funds.

Dual-Degree Students

Wagner scholarships apply only to the semesters in which a student is registered for classes through Wagner. Students in the dual-degree programs with GSAS, Stern, NYU Law, or the School of Social Work will not receive Wagner scholarships during semesters that they register through those schools. Students should consult the assistant directors of their programs for more information on registration. Students should also view sample dual-degree schedules.

Dual degree applicants for the NYU Wagner MPA (Program in Nonprofit Management) and NYU Skirball MA (Judaic Studies) are encouraged to apply for outside scholarships, including Wexner; FEREP: Federation Executive Recruitment and Education Program; and the JCC Association Graduate Education Scholarship.
