NYU Wagner awards
Graduate Assistantships
- Full tuition plus stipend
- Awarded for one year; non-renewable (GAs receive a Dean's Scholarship for their second year)
- Incoming fall-start students are eligible
- A select number of assistantships are awarded. GAs are assigned to the School's institutional programs for administrative duties and work approximately 20 hours/week for the University.
Research Assistantships
- Full tuition plus stipend
- Appointments are typically for one year, sometimes renewed
- Both incoming and continuing students are eligible
- Approximately 10 to 15 students are selected each year to serve as research assistants in connection with faculty research projects. Because the projects are diverse and some are administered outside the University, responsibilities, qualifications, stipends, and tuition assistance may vary.
- RAs are hired by the Wagner research centers and institutes. To be considered for research assistantships, applicants should contact the centers and institutes directly.
Dean's Scholarship
- 75% tuition
- One-year (Fall/Spring semesters), renewable
- Awarded to incoming full-time students
- The most prestigious Wagner scholarships; usually only 10-12 are awarded each year
Public Service Scholarship
- 25-50% tuition
- One-year (Fall/Spring semesters), renewable
- Awarded to incoming and continuing full-time and part-time students
