The NYU Wagner Torch Award is conferred to recent alumni (graduates within the last 10 years) who personify personal and professional commitment to public service and who are ardent supporters of NYU Wagner and the larger university.
The Troy R. Westmeyer Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award is presented to an alum who represents the values former Dean Dr. Troy R. Westmeyer held during his academic and public service careers. Chief among these are a firm commitment to excellence in the study of public service; integrity, honesty, and a social consciousness representative of the highest ideals of the profession; and an abiding sense of loyalty and fidelity to the organizations in which one has served.
