Summertime brings many celebrations, and we are celebrating well at Wagner this year. In addition to the regular festivities of Convocation and the Capstone Expo, we are thrilled to announce that Sherry Glied has been named as Wagner's new dean!

Nikki Georges-Clapp, MUP 2009, shares about her experiences at NYU Wagner and how she moved into her current role as Assistant Director of Adult Education and Training at the Department of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability (REES) at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
Updates from fellow Wagnerites!
Susan Hayes (MPA 2001) recently became the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment at Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ. In this role, Susan is responsible for state and federal government reporting, accreditation and compliance activities and measuring institutional effectiveness. She provides data analysis for enrollment management and strategic planning and also utilizes surveys for various projects.
Wendy Paler (MPA 2010) was recently named Account Executive at Stack Exchange, a NY-based tech company whose mission is to make the Internet a better place. In this role, Wendy helps employers to connect with the largest and most talented pool of software developers in the world via Stack Overflow's Careers 2.0 platform.
Wagner alumni are doing interesting, innovative and intriguing things outside of work - through blogs, books, papers, research, presentations, awards and other resources!
Jessica Troiano, Elizabeth Kelly & Maria Sarta Herrera (MPA '13) introduced their proposal, UPleaft, an all-natural beverage company that aims to sell healthy, natural soft drinks made by agricultural communities in Colombia.

Last month, the newest class of Wagner alumni proudly walked across the graduation stage at NYC's City Center, but not before leaving their mark at Wagner by making donations toward the 2013 class gift. All alumni are invited to get involved. Make an online contribution to support students who are traveling to conferences and business competitions around the world. Join the Class of 2013 as they create new opportunities for future Wagnerites, help raise Wagner's alumni giving rate and ultimately increase the value of their degrees.
