Jordan Anderson

Lecturer on Public Administration

 

Jordan Anderson is the Vice President of Appleseed, a New York City based consulting firm that works with nonprofit organizations and institutions, corporations and governments helping to promote economic growth and opportunity.  His work has focused on economic impact analysis for a variety of private and not-for-profit clients, including Brown University, the University of Chicago, and Cornell University.  In addition, he has participated in work on telecommunications policy for the Empire State Development Corporation.  Prior to joining Appleseed in 2005, Mr. Anderson served as a product manager for SAP Labs and as a systems analyst for PETsMART, Inc.  Mr. Anderson has a B.S. in information and decision systems from Carnegie Mellon University and a master's degree in urban planning from New York University.  While a graduate student at the Wagner School, Mr. Anderson developed PlanNYC, the New York City Urban Planning Information Portal (http://www.plannyc.org).

Jordan is the co-creator of Ride the City, a tool for finding safe bike routes in New York City.
