Jessica Attie Gurvich
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urban Planning

Jessica Attie is an Instructor of Legal Writing at Brooklyn Law School.  Prior to joining the faculty of Brooklyn Law School, Attie served as a Co-Director of the Foreclosure Prevention Project at South Brooklyn Legal Services, where she litigated predatory lending and fair housing cases and engaged in policy work directed at curbing abusive lending practices in the subprime mortgage industry.  She has trained numerous attorneys, community advocates, and policy-makers on fair lending and foreclosure issues, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and forums. 

Attie received her B.A. magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Public Interest Law Scholar and a research assistant to Professor David Cole.  After law school, Attie clerked for Hon. Ricardo M. Urbina of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and served as a litigation and international arbitration associate at White & Case LLP.
