Rachelle Brunn received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Delaware in May 2002. While at the University of Delaware, she participated in the Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program. Brunn was also awarded a Graduate Certificate in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in November 2007. Brunn completed her dissertation, entitled "Intersectionality at Work: Race, Class, and Gender Gaps in Achievement and Attainment at Selective Colleges and Universities," with funding provided by the 2007-2008 Association for the Study of Higher Education/Lumina Foundation for Education Dissertation Fellowship. Her research and teaching interests include the intersection of race, class, and gender; race and ethnic relations; the sociology of education; urban sociology; and public policy.
