Master of Urban Planning (MUP)

Ranked #2 in City Management and Urban Policy by U.S. News and World Report, the success of our MUP program is based on rigorous academics that link theory and practice.

Students complete coursework in  urban planning, land use regulation, management, urban economics, policy analysis and urban physical design among other topics. They take additional courses to specialize in environment, infrastructure and transportation; economic development and housing; or international development planning. Most students maximize their academic experience by taking on degree relevant internships (and other professional positions) while enrolled in the program.
