Lights, Camera, LinkedIn!

Join the Office of Career Services for an event designed to help you put your best foot forward on LinkedIn and at the Career Expo. We will have the following stations available for students to rotate through: 1. LinkedIn Audit: Receive feedback from the OCS team on your LinkedIn profile page. Learn tricks of the trade to maximize your presence on the platform and helpful tips as you update your profile. 2. LinkedIn Head-shots: A professional photographer will provide you with an updated LinkedIn head-shot. Remember to dress to impress. 3. Practice your Pitch: Recruiters from various industries will be available for one-on-one mock interviews and to help you practice your pitch in preparation for the 2016 Public Service Career Expo. Students can arrive at any point during the event, and should allow approximately 30-45 minutes to rotate through all stations.

Resume Boot Camp for Healthcare Consulting and Management Careers

This workshop will be facilitated by consultants from Grant Thornton. The goal of Resume Boot Camp for Healthcare Consulting and Management Careers is to provide students with an opportunity to receive feedback directly from individuals working in the industry, refine the content of their resumes and hear industry recommendations regarding the application process for consulting and management careers. The reviewers will also have an open discussion regarding any relevant skills necessary to increase their stock in today's job market. NOTE: Your resume must be uploaded (and up-to-date) on the Career Directory by 2/16 to be able to participate in this workshop.

Industry Expert Series: Jeremy Kranowitz, Executive Director of Sustainable America discusses impact investing

Jeremy Kranowitz is Executive Director of Sustainable America, implementing its strategic plan to raise consumer awareness around sustainable food and fuel issues, and to support entrepreneurs working on these issues to make our nation more efficient, resilient and sustainable. Prior to Sustainable America, Jeremy worked for a decade at The Keystone Center on the nations toughest energy and environmental issues as a mediator, facilitator, and educator. Jeremy worked for the Izaak Walton League on a clean air campaign on behalf of hunters and fishers, and helped launch Forest Trends, an international sustainable forestry non-profit. He also worked for five years at McKinsey & Co in its environment practice, working with Fortune 500 companies. He has an MS in Environmental Science and BA in Social Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, and an MPA in Environmental Policy from New York University. - See more at:
