Many Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders experience microaggressions, or the “brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative racial slights and insults toward people of color,” on a recurring basis. Recognizing microaggressions for what they are is only one step towards resolving them though. What happens when these microaggressions occur in the workplace? How do you address microaggressions directed towards you by colleagues or managers? Join PASA for PASATalks on Thursday, March 23 from 6PM-7PM in the Puck Building, Jersey conference room. General PASA meeting will precede from 5:30PM-6PM.
