Who Benefits? Symposium on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Social Finance is a day-long symposium that will assess the state of racial and gender equity, diversity, and inclusion in impact investing in New York City; as well as define an agenda for additional research, education, and advocacy to establish the framework necessary to fuel greater equity in social finance policy and practices. Using New York as a case study, the symposium will provide a valuable opportunity to take stock of the social finance sector and assess how it disrupts or perpetuates patterns of inequality using the following framework:

● What is the relationship between the diversity among investment teams and the diversity of investment portfolios?

● What are the new horizons, trends, and innovations in impact investing that will increase racial and gender diversity in investment portfolios while maximizing social impact?

● How can social finance practitioners, both from the investor and beneficiary communities, use human capital strategy to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within their organizations?
