Susan Abramowitz is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Service at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the NYU School of Medicine.
Abramowitz also serves as Director of the Lower New York Consortium. The Consortium is a network in Staten Island and lower and upper Manhattan that provides HIV/AIDS primary and specialty medical, mental health, and social services for HIV-infected infants, children, youth, and adults. Her current research interests focus on the development of behavioral interventions promoting medication adherence and risk reduction in HIV-infected youth.
Abramowitz received a B.A. in Chemistry from Barnard College, a Masters in Science Education from Columbia Teachers College, and a Ph.D. from the Stanford School of Education.
