This page provides information about how to get connected to the Wagner online community, as well as important online resources and tools. The Wagner School communicates frequently with students through their NYU e-mail, and will send e-mail ONLY to your NYU e-mail address. Therefore, all students are required to activate their NYU e-mail and must check it regularly OR have it forwarded to an existing e-mail account (see NYU Home and E-mail for instructions).
For more detailed information and FAQs about NYU computing resources, see NYU's Information Technology Services (ITS) web site.
NYU Home is a customizable web-based portal to many services and tools including e-mail, student records on Albert, Web forums (listservs), Blackboard, personal Web pages, research tools, and other Internet services. For more detailed information about NYU Home, see ITS' NYU Home Help page.
Albert is New York University's Student Information System, accessible through the Academics section of your NYU Home portal. Using Albert, you can access information about your student records, update your contact information, and register for classes. For more detailed information about on Albert, see ITS' Connecting to Albert page.
Blackboard is NYU's online learning environment. Professors post pre-semester readings, assignments, messages, and other information that is accessible only to members of the class. Access Blackboard through your NYU Home portal on the Academics page or at http://classes.nyu.edu/. For more detailed information about Blackboard, see ITS' Blackboard How Tos for NYU Students page.
Listservs, also called Forums or Lyris lists, are discussion lists used to exchange ideas about specialized topics, post deadlines or homework assignments, or confirm meeting changes. You can receive listserv messages over e-mail or access them through the NYU Forums web interface. See the Wagner Listservs page for important information about the listservs you need to subscribe to.
