Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Graduate Fellowship in Social Entrepreneurship

- This program provides fellowships for 23 graduate students among all New York University's 14 schools
each year. Fellows will participate in a newly developed cross-disciplinary course, act as mentors to the
undergraduate scholarship recipients, and attend fellowship-related activities

David Bohnett Public Service Fellowship
- Full tuition and $5000 Summer stipend
- Incoming Fall-start, full-time students are eligible
- Awarded for two years
- Full-time MPA or MUP incoming students who have expressed interest in working for municipal governments
to solve our most urgent social issues
- This program provides fellowships for 3 graduate students, two of whom will intern at the highest level of NYC government and one of whom will work with the US Conference of Mayors
- Interested candidates are required to submit an essay with the online application
Lisa Goldberg Memorial Scholarship
- One 75% Scholarship for Students interested in Philanthropy
- Incoming students are eligible
- Students Must submit an essay for this scholarship during application process

Leslie Jane Rosen Fellowships
- Full tuition plus stipend
- Awarded every other year, for two years
- Incoming full-time female MPA/PNMP students are eligible
- Incoming women who have applied by the scholarship deadline will automatically be considered.

Dr. Philip & Dr. Hannah Schorr Fellowship
- $10,000/year ($5,000 per semester)
- Awarded to one incoming Full-Time student committed to working in affordable housing and community
development
- Award will be awarded over a two year period
- Established by Philip Schorr, Wagner '47, '74 (PhD)
Henry & Marilyn Taub Fellowship
- Full tuition plus stipend
- Awarded annually to two students entering the joint-degree program in Nonprofit Management and Judaic
Studies
- Awarded for three years (the length of the program)
HBCU and HSI Alumni Scholarship
Luther Gulick Fellowship
- $25,000 for one year
- Awarded annually to one entering student. Recipients will be eligible for a full Wagner scholarship
during their second year
- This award is provided by the Institute for Public Administration for a future public service leader,
particularly in international issues
New York University Opportunity Fellowships
- Full tuition
- Awarded for two years
- Awarded to incoming students
- NYU sponsors a fellowship program to recognize and recruit individuals of high academic ability who are
members of minority and other under-represented groups. No school is guaranteed a fellowship, but the Wagner
School has received one to three awards for each of the past several years. Recipients are selected by the
President's Review Committee on the basis of academic merit and financial need
Jewish Foundation for the Education of Women (JFEW) Scholarship
- $5,000 or $7,500/ year
- Incoming full-time female MPA and MUP students are eligible, including students in the Dual Degree in
Nonprofit Management and Judaic Studies
- Must be able to demonstrate financial need
- Must be a resident of New York or live within a 50 mile radius
- Incoming women who have applied by the scholarship deadline will automatically be considered
Mayor's Graduate Scholarships
- 50 % tuition
- Awarded up to 8 full time New York City employees
- Only incoming part-time students are eligible
- Scholarship applications are available from the Department of Citywide Administrative Services. Contact
your agency personnel office for a Mayor's scholarship application and deadline information. Regardless of
the Mayors Scholarship Program deadlines, Wagner applications must be received by January 15
New York City Police Foundation Scholarships
- 50 % tuition
- Plus a supplemental grant from the Police Foundation for incoming part-time MS and MPA students
- Awarded to members of the NYPD below the rank of Detective
- Applicants must be nominated by the Police Department, hold exemplary records, show leadership potential, and
have been employed by the NYC Police Department for a minimum of 3 years. Contact the NYC Police Academy
Scholarship Unit for further details. All NYU Wagner application materials must be received by January 15

- 2,500/year
- For continuing students only
- MPA/ MUP interested in Economic Development
- Interested candidates are required to submit an essay with the online application
Public Allies Education Awards
- $4,725/year
- Awarded to up to 3 Public Allies alumni each year
- NYU Wagner matches the Americorps educational grant
- Incoming MPA and MUP students are eligible
- NYU Wagner application materials must be received by the scholarship deadline
Israel & Caryl Englander Family Fellowship
- $5,000/year
- New and continuing students in the joint degree program in Judaic Studies are eligible
- Eligible candidates will be considered by the joint degree program directors
- Incoming MPA and MUP students are eligible
Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA) Scholarship
- $5,000/year
- Awarded to selected incoming students who are PPIA members and identify their membership on their application to Wagner
Sargent Shriver Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Scholarships
- 25-50% tuition
- Incoming students with a minimum of two years of Peace Corps service and whose close of service date is no more than three years prior to date of application are eligible
- All eligible incoming students who apply by the scholarship deadline will automatically be considered
Teach for America Alumni Award
- 50% Tuition
- Incoming students who have completed service with Teach for America are eligible
- Awarded to up to 5 Teach for America alumni each year
- NYU Wagner also offers a 2-year deferral for students who are admitted to the program and choose to join
Teach For America and waives the application fee for corps members and alumni
Wagner Alumni Scholarship
- 50% tuition
- Awarded to up to 5 incoming students recommended by Wagner alumni
- Any student applying for this scholarship should ask the recommending Wagner alumna or alumnus to complete a
special alumni recommendation form, which is available in mid-December
Brodsky Family Fellowship
- 25-50% tuition
- Awarded to MUP students who seek to strengthen communities of color
- Eligible incoming students who apply by the scholarship deadline will automatically be considered
Milton & Miriam Handler Foundation Scholarships
- Approximately $10,000/yr
- Awarded to incoming students including those in the Dual Degree in Nonprofit Management and Judaic Studies
May & Samuel Rudin Family Foundation Scholarship

- Awarded to students who work for NYC public service organizations full-time while enrolled at Wagner part-time
- 2-3 new scholarships are given each year

Robert C. Weaver Scholarship
- Full tuition
- Awarded every other year to one full-time doctoral student whose intent is to focus on problems affecting the African American community

- $5,000/year
- Awarded to a student in Wagner's Doctoral Program to encourage studies by members of underrepresented groups
