A Wagner education focuses on graduate-level social science and professional skills training. Undergraduate language skill courses cannot be credited towards a Wagner degree. Graduate level courses with direct substantive relevance for public service and conducted in a foreign language may be considered for credit by the international program administrator on a case by case basis.
There are a number of alternative avenues at NYU through which Wagner students can hone their language skills. NYU’s Speaking Freely program offers language classes for free.
Bobst Library's Avery Fisher Center offers access to language videos and
tapes on reserve. NYU's School
of Continuing and Professional Studies offers foreign language courses
in more than 25 languages.
