Diane H. Dayson is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the Wagner School of Public Administration, NYU. Recently, Ms. Dayson retired from the U.S Department of the Interior, National Park Service. She served with the Department for over 28 years. Ms. Dayson last position was Executive Director / Superintendent of the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island, Liberty Island, New York. In this position she was responsible for over 250 employees, 5 million visitors, numerous partners and a 20 million dollar budget and one million dollar endowment.
Currently, Ms. Dayson, is a volunteer for Reach Into Cultural Heights, Inc., a not for profit organization, to assist( as an on-line instructor and office administrator) inner city youth at risk with changing their social behavior (through four guiding principles and communications technology) which results in improved school work and family/friend relationships.
Diane H. Dayson has traveled across the country and various countries in Europe to deliver leadership programs and cultivate strong partnership programs. She has received many distinguished awards over the years. The most prominent recognition was graduation from the Senior Executive Service (SES) Program out of Washington DC. She has completed many leadership and business programs from the following schools: Harvard JFK School of Government, Carnegie Mellon, Wharton School of Business, Brookings Institute and Department of Interior University. Ms. Dayson received her Masters in Public Administration, Wagner School, NYU, Bachelors in Early Secondary Education and American History, SUNY at Cortland.
At present, enrolled as Ph.D candidate in Public Policy and Administration specializing in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, Walden University.
