Faigy Abdelhak Gilder is in her third and final year of the dual-degree program, where she is funded by a Jewish Foundation for the Education of Women (JFEW) fellowship. She has already completed her MPA at Wagner, and feels has learned a lot from the school’s focus on intersections and global perspectives. Faigy studied Sociology and Journalism at Queens College, and spent the year following graduation in AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps in Chicago. Her work and internship experience includes Amnesty International, Millennium Promise, Faith House Manhattan, and The BOMA Project. She has traveled with the American Jewish World Service (AJWS) to villages in Uganda, Nicaragua, and Mexico, and hopes to continue working in international development, with a focus on how her work is informed by a Jewish lens.
