Sarah Waldbott grew up in Oak Park, MI, and received her BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan. During her undergraduate career, Sarah interned with a variety of Jewish communal organizations including J Street, Ameinu, the JCC of West Bloomfield, the JCRC of Metro Detroit, and the Jewish Vocational Service and received fellowships from both local and national Jewish organizations. She came to the NYU Wagner/Skirball MPA-MA in Hebrew and Judaic Studies program to gain the tools and skills to develop innovation in the Jewish nonprofit sector. With its theoretical and practical framework, the program has sharpened Sarah’s sense of the Jewish communal sector and her place as a future leader in the community. During her tenure in the program, she interned at the New Israel Fund and currently volunteers as District Advocacy Coordinator (NY-7) for J Street. In 2010, she received the Steinberg Fellowship. Sarah is in her final year of the program and is a research assistant at the Berman Jewish Policy Archive.
