Ruthie Warshenbrot
Interests: leveraging the strength in the Jewish community to make change in the world, social justice, leadership development, organizational design, philanthropy
Ruthie Warshenbrot is currently Associate Program Director at the Wexner Foundation in Columbus, Ohio. She is a Wexner Graduate Fellow/Davidson Scholar and Lisa Goldberg Fellow in Jewish Leadership in her third year of the NYU Wagner/Skirball MPA-MA in Hebrew and Judaic Studies program and completed her MPA in May 2012. While at NYU, Ruthie worked as a Jewish Service-Learning Manager at Repair the World and as a Program Leader for Bend the Arc’s service-learning trips. She also participated in a Jewish service-learning delegation to Senegal with American Jewish World Service. With a group of NYU alumni, she is involved with the Jewish Communal Professional Survey. Prior to graduate school, Ruthie was the Executive Director of Limmud NY. She chose the MPA-MA program to expand her knowledge of the nonprofit sector and the Jewish community, while connecting with the diverse student body. Ruthie is the recipient of the 2009 Jewish Communal Service Association’s Young Professional Award. Ruthie grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Jewish Studies.
