Eric Kaplan

Interests: Philanthropy, strategic planning, Jewish identity formation, organizational psychology

Eric Kaplan is a first-year student in the NYU Wagner/Skirball MPA-MA in Hebrew and Judaic Studies program, where he is studying as a Handler Fellow. A New Jersey native, he received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where he also served on the Board of Governors. Eric has also studied at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and Hebrew University. He hopes to gain the knowledge and skills to become an outstanding fundraiser and thought leader in the Jewish community. Eric has interned in the development office of the American Jewish Committee and the Office of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and he will be coordinating get-out-the-vote initiatives in New Jersey for the Orthodox Union.
