NYU Women: Take the Lead Challenge! Turning Our Careers and Leadership Intentions into Reality
Presented by the NYU Leadership Initiative, NYU Wagner Women's Caucus (WWC), BRIDGE, and NYU Wagner Management and Leadership Organization (WMLO)

Wednesday, February 19, 2014
7:30pm - 10:00pm
NYU Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, NYC
Room 808

There is a national conversation happening now about the challenges women face in the workplace and their transforming role in society and business (thank you Sheryl Sandberg, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Melissa Harris-Perry, and many more). But women still earn 77 cents to men's dollar. And while making up half the workforce, only 18 percent of the top leadership positions are held by women.

So join us as we DO something about it.

Gather with the NYU community and millions across the country for the Take the Lead Challenge, which calls on all of us (men, too!) to prepare, develop, inspire, and propel women to take a fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025. It’s today’s women’s movement - a unique catalyst for women to embrace power and reach leadership parity.

The event will begin at 7:30 PM with an NYU special guest speaker (TBA) and refreshments. Starting at 8:00 PM, we will live stream the national event, which will:
·  Inspire you with dynamic speakers like Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg (via live stream)
·  Give you the tools to chart your personal course to success
·  Connect you with other NYU women to network and support each other
