Overview

The Executive Master of Public Administration degree is designed to give students advanced competency in management and financial management. The strength of the Executive MPA program is in the flexibility of the curriculum; with the help of a team of program and faculty advisors, students choose their courses from Wagner and throughout NYU. The sample schedules listed below are for illustrative purposes only and are not a set of requirements.

Summary of General Requirements

I. Executive MPA Core (2 courses/8 credits)

II. Elective/Focus Courses (24 credits)

Students choose elective coursework from a variety of four and two-credit Wagner courses. Clustering elective courses around an issue area enables students to develop a course of study that most closely meets their needs and interests, and provides specialized training and an area of expertise, such as:
