Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Policy
Joe is passionate about using design thinking as a tool to unearth creative win-win solutions to clients’ most vexing problems. He is especially curious about how complex systems work and how they might be designed to create and equitably share value. At IDEO, Joe leads and guides teams in the creation of new ventures and strategies for a diverse set of clients spanning Financial Services, Retail, Education and Non-Profits. Leaning on his scientific roots, Joe helps teams adopt an experimental approach to iteratively build and validate their ideas.
Through lecture, executive seminar, and mentorship, Joe has shared his perspectives on design thinking with students from Columbia University and University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Global Health Corps fellows, and TechStars Entrepreneurs.
