Harris Ginsberg

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Professor Ginsberg is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and an executive in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness with emphasis on designing and deploying solutions that help companies build leadership and organizational capability. In addition, Dr. Ginsberg is a seasoned executive coach and organizational consultant. Dr. Ginsberg has extensive experience in the design and delivery of training and development programs in a range of industries as well as facilitation of organization effectiveness interventions. Currently Director of Organization Development, Dr. Ginsberg is responsible for establishing talent development processes to support the Chemtura’s corporate goals for revenue growth, market share, and leadership in the specialty chemical industry.

As Director of Global Executive and Organization Capability group at IBM, he consulted with senior executives in IBM’s businesses and functional units to apply leadership competencies to strategic business imperatives. He has distinguished himself as an expert in Training and Development at JPMorgan Chase (Chase Auto Finance and Chase’s Operations and Systems division) as well as Colgate Palmolive, Citibank and Technicon Corporation. Prior to his corporate career, Dr. Ginsberg worked as a psychologist in private practice and at Pace University’s Counseling Center.

Dr. Ginsberg earned his B.S. in Psychology at Union College in Schenectady. While teaching “Behavior and Ethics” at the Choate School, he earned his Masters in Counseling at the University of Hartford, later completing his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a minor in Organizational Behavior at the Wharton School. Dr. Ginsberg has held various teaching positions in the Counseling Department at the University of Delaware and in the Psychology Departments at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and at Mercy College and Pace University in New York.

Dr. Ginsberg is a licensed psychologist in NY State and a member of the American Psychological Association. He is a member of the Conference Board’s Advisory Board on Executive Coaching and has presented at the Center for Quality in Management, the Equipment Leasing Association and United Jewish Federation conferences. In addition to helping executives grow, Dr. Ginsberg has coached American Youth Soccer teams for 14 years and has served Union College on the Alumni Council.
