Diana Hortsch is an independent consultant providing services in the areas of human rights program development, education, and training to NGOs, universities, and funders. She currently works as a consultant for the Governance and Civil Society Unit at the Ford Foundation. Past clients include the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) and the International Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP). Previously, Ms. Hortsch served as lecturer-in-law and director of the Global Public Service Law Project at New York University School of Law, a graduate program designed to benefit human rights lawyers in the developing and transitional world. While at NYU Law, Ms. Hortsch performed site visits to over 50 NGOs and universities in the developing world, made grants to GPSLP fellows for innovative legal projects, and spearheaded the creation of short-term regional training courses on global public interest law. From 2002 to 2006, she served as a member of the New York City Bar Council on International Affairs, and she has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1998. Ms. Hortsch holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and African studies from Bryn Mawr College and a juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
