Martin Ives

Adjunct Professor of Public Administration

Martin Ives is currently an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration who teaches financial accounting and advanced public finance. Professor Ives served as the First Deputy Comptroller of New York City (1976-1983) and Deputy Comptroller of New York State (1963-1976). He has been a member of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board and the Vice Chairman and Director of Research for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. He was recently awarded the S. Kenneth Howard Award by the Association for Budgeting and Financial Management. In 1997 he was named NYU Wagner's Adjunct of the Year. He has a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
