DAPHNE Emerson

Program Coordinator

As program coordinator for the Leadership for a Changing World Research and Documentation program at RCLA, Daphne Emerson manages and supports the work of its researchers and community leaders by helping to meet budget goals, track publications, perform research, write, edit and support the Social Change Leadership Network.

Currently Daphne is a full-time student at NYU Wagner, studying to obtain her MPA in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy. Daphne is particularly interested in the area of cross-sector collaborations to bring social change to local communities, specifically through public/private partnerships and philanthropy.

Before coming to NYU Wagner, Daphne held the position as Program Coordinator for youth safety education and prevention at the American Red Cross in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member with the American Red Cross in Denver, Colorado.

Daphne graduated with a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she studied public organizations and public service on a Global Semester abroad.
