With support from the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, RCLA and the Center For Applied Research (CFAR) have created a program for nonprofits to invest in talent as a driver for reaching organizational goals.
The program offers nonprofits a framework for establishing integrated talent development systems and engaging board members in developing succession plans as essential for organizational effectiveness and sustainability.
Leaders can evaluate how well their current talent development strategies, such as investing in staff trainings and skill-building seminars, advance their broader organizational goals. They can also examine how well talent management is integrated across their organizations - from recruiting and orientation to ongoing professional development - with responsibility shared by every department. Finally, nonprofit executives can evaluate the systems they would need to measure the effectiveness of individual investments and integrated talent management systems as a whole.
This program is one of many customized, experiential leadership programs RCLA develops and runs to both expand individuals' skills and strengthen the organizations in which they work.
