Student leaders are the force behind some of the most compelling programming at NYU Wagner and play a key role in building bridges among diverse student groups, between students and the school, and NYU Wagner and the greater community.
The NYU Wagner Leadership Academy (WLA) provides a space for leaders of graduate student organizations to broaden their understanding of leadership, enhance their leadership capacity and to engage in cross-causal conversations. The quarterly sessions, open to representatives from each student organization, enable these students to reflect on how they are taking up their roles and helping each other approach leadership challenges. Further, the Academy offers students useful tools they can bring back to and apply in the work of their organizations at NYU Wagner and beyond.
The 2011-2012 WLA theme is “Get Connected,” and aims help student groups identify interest areas of overlap and opportunities for collaboration.
The Wagner Leadership Academy (WLA) was created in 2009 and is offered through a partnership between RCLA, the Wagner Dean's Office, Student Affairs, and the Wagner Student Association.
