NYU Wagner Hosts Urban Issues Debate Between Bush and Kerry Campaigns
Debate kicks off celebration of Wagner's new home at the Puck Building; NYC Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg presides over ribbon-cutting

Representatives of the Bush-Cheney and Kerry-Edwards campaigns debated issues central to the urban agenda, including health care, gun control, and homeland security. Former Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger Altman represented the Kerry campaign, while Bruce Blakeman, a commissioner of the Port Authority of NY/NJ, and the former majority leader of Nassau County Legislature, will represented the Bush campaign.

Following the debate, New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, NYU President John Sexton, and Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service Dean Ellen Schall formally celebrated NYU Wagner's new home with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
