Argelio Perez
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Administration

Argelio B. Perez is a consultant affiliated with a number of private and public organizations including University Associates Consulting and Training Services, the Institute for Educational Leadership, Inc., the Public Agenda Foundation, and Learning Designs, Inc.  Ben has a diverse background in public administration with substantial experience in supervision, fiscal management, legislation/regulatory monitoring, staff development, planning, and reorganization.  He is also principal of Transformations, LLC, a Michigan-based consulting firm, specializing in leadership development, organizational change, team building, and facilitation. 

His clients range from state government, local school districts, community colleges and associations to private sector companies such as Delphi Automotive Systems and a number of non-profit organizations such as Kellogg, Broad and the Annie E. Casey Foundations.  His work with them includes: team-building, strategic planning, collaboration, conflict resolution, and group facilitation to enhancing creativity in the work place. For 29 years, Ben served as co-coordinator of the Education Policy Fellowship Program, Institute for Educational Leadership, Washington, DC.  This in-service program is designed for mid-career professionals, which focuses on the human services policy process and leadership development at the local, state, and federal levels. 

For the past 5 years, Ben has been working with Workforce Solutions in McAllen, Texas in implementing a system-wide Quality Management System.  In addition, since 2004, he has worked with the College of Education at Michigan State University in designing and implementing a Leadership Coaches Training Program designed to assist Principals in High Priority Schools in the State of Michigan.
