The Rudin Center for Transportation Policy and Management at NYU’s Wagner school explores current and emerging challenges in transportation and infrastructure. The Center draws upon faculty and graduate students from NYU to conduct research on issues such as financing transportation systems, the role of mobile communications in mobility, the neuroscience of walking, and aviation and economic development.
The Center brings together leading scholars and practitioners through conferences that address public policy issues facing large metropolitan regions. In addition, the Rudin Center conducts executive education in transportation, and works closely with government agencies and civic organizations.
The Rudin Center was named in recognition of a gift from civic leader Lewis Rudin and receives support from leading firms in transportation, finance, and communications. The director of the Center is Mitchell L. Moss, Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy and Planning.
