FALL SYMPOSIUM - MAKING THE CONNECTION: Transit Oriented Development - A Blueprint for Success


On November 14, 2008, close to 400 individuals attended "MAKING THE CONNECTION: Transit Oriented Development - A Blueprint for Success." The symposium was co-sponsored by the NYU Wagner Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management, New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC), Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, The Louis Berger Group, Peckar and Abramsom, P.C., Sam Schwartz Engineering, and Turner Construction Company and in association with several other organizations. Douglas Foy, President of Serrafix Corporation, delivered the keynote address on the transportation and land use connection. Featuring two panels of experts from the public and private sector, the potential and the promise of transit-oriented development and best practices around the country were discussed.
