The Wagner Food Policy Alliance (WFPA) is a group of students from New York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service dedicated to raising awareness about issues surrounding local, national, and international food policy. Through our events, panel discussions, and volunteer opportunities, we aim to promote equitable food systems by connecting likeminded NYU students, as well as facilitating a dialogue with leaders in our community and around the world. Ultimately, our goal is to serve as an umbrella organization for harnessing all of this information for those in and around NYU.

Please feel free to join in if you are in the NYC area and interested in food policy issues. We are always eager to strengthen our relationships with other Wagner organizations and Steinhardt's Nutrition, Public Health and Food Studies program.

While conversations truly depend on current events and your participation, the possible areas of focus for WFPA include: the various socially responsible eating practices (organic, vegetarianism, vegan, local, slow, etc.), food insecurity (both domestically and globally), and controversies surrounding government subsidies, food deserts, food marketing and urban farming.
