Learning in Action

Required of all MPA and MUP students, the Capstone Program is part of Wagner's clinical initiative and provides students with a year long consulting or research project to resolve a problem or conduct an analysis for a public service organization. In addition to the appropriate schoolwide core and Urban Planning Core prerequisites, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, have completed the Professional Experience Requirement, and have passed the SPSS proficiency exam (if they waived CORE-GP 1011) to be considered ready to take Capstone.

Information sessions in the Spring provide students more details on registering for a Capstone course and undertaking the Capstone project. Urban Planning students typically choose one of the following Capstone courses:
