Every year Wagner welcomes a new class of planners to the joys of green books and frontdoor / backdoors. Join us this September as we kick off orientation with the annual meet and greet in the Commons Room. With a public service project, happy hour, advising session, a brownbag lecture and discussion group all on tap for the first two weeks - the only question is why wouldn't you be at Plannerpalooza!

"Welcome Back, Planner!"
Meet and greet event for new and returning students. The evening will include a few brief presentations on student summer projects, an introduction to UPSA and upcoming events, as well as food and refreshments.

"Coffee Talk: Specialization Advising"
An opportunity for students to ask Professors and each other about Wagner courses and planning specializations over coffee and bagels.

Thursday, September 11 (1-3pm) Meet at the Battery Maritime Building at 12:45. Deadline to register is 9/4.

"Governor's Island Tour"

Take a 1.5 mile National Park Service Ranger-guided tour through Governor's Island. To register email Becky Koepnick at rak253@nyu.edu.

The tours depart from the Battery Maritime Building, Ferry Slip 7. The Battery Maritime Building is located immediately north-east of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal at the foot of Whitehall and South Streets in Lower Manhattan. The ferry ride is about 5 minutes.

Students use a pre-selected paper or article as the jumping-off point for a discussion of urban issues and theories.

"Brownbag Lecture Series"
An opportunity for students to gain exposure to faculty research, cutting-edge planning methods from local practitioners, and current debates on urban issues. Beverages will be provided. Topic TBA
