Our Team

Diana Salas, Research Fellow, has worked as an advocate for over 10 years focusing the needs of women and immigrant communities. Prior to joining the Network, Diana was a community organizer working on immigration reform and voting rights. Originally, from Ecuador, she continues to work on the issues facing immigrant communities, specifically focusing on the needs of immigrant women and currently serves on the boards of New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) and Cidadão Global. She is also a steering committee member of the Latina Advocacy Network and the New York Local Organizing Committee. Diana has received numerous awards in recognition of her community efforts, including a New York City Council Citation for work in the Hispanic Community. Diana holds a BA in Anthropology and Urban Studies from Queens College and an MPA from the NYU Wagner.
