Program Description
The Beyond the Window Public Policy Summer Institute is an intensive four-week program on the campus of NYU with rising first-year College students designed to introduce them to the public policy making process through the examination of relevant social issues. Student Scholars learn basic research skills and how to analyze data to support community needs. They will also have the opportunity to interact with scholars, practitioners, and advocates working in various fields.
Students participating in the four-week program offered by the Women of Color Policy Network will be recruited from the pool of LEDA scholars who have completed the eight-week Aspects of Leadership Summer Institute the previous year at Princeton University.
