According to a study by the Women of Color Policy Network, only 4 percent of green hobs are held by African-American or Latino women.
Most of green jobs available require experience in fields that are male-dominated such as agriculture, forestry, or electrical engineering. These include ones that were created by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which has allotted $200 billion for programs related to the creation of green jobs
For example, a lot of money is available to create green jobs to fight poverty but if these jobs do not offer basic benefits such as childcare, then women cannot participate.
