Accessibility Advocacy for the MTA
Quemuel “Q” Arroyo (MPA 2020) joined the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) as the organization's first agency-wide Chief Accessibility Officer. In this capacity, Arroyo leads the implementation of policies, initiatives, and programs that reimagine and advance accessibility throughout the organization.

Health Care Quality Strategy
Janelle M. Sauz (MPA-HPAM 2020) serves as the Population Health Management Quality Strategy Lead at Kaiser Permanente’s National Medicaid & State Programs, where she develops strategies to support care teams, improve provider experience, and address health disparities by aligning Medicaid services with community needs and regulatory goals.

Global Housing Reform
Ignacio Aravena (MUP 2020) was honored with the Chilean Congress’s Merit Medal in September 2024 for his instrumental role in spearheading legislative reforms that significantly streamline Chile’s building permit processes.

Welcome to #NYUWagner, Polly Trottenberg!
The former deputy secretary of the US Department of Transportation and former commissioner of the NYC Department of Transportation will begin her tenure as dean on August 1, 2025.
Additionally, Trottenberg, a nationally recognized expert on public policy, transportation, and infrastructure, will serve as a Global Distinguished Professor at NYU.
"At a time when public service and impactful academic scholarship are so essential, I look forward to working with the extraordinary faculty, students, staff, and alumni at Wagner, and across NYU, to educate the next generation of public service leaders and support the research that forms the basis for sound public policy," said Trottenberg.
