Fund the People is the national campaign to maximize investment in the nonprofit workforce. It looks to influence attitudes and behavior in foundations and nonprofits. The project was incubated at NYU Wagner beginning in fall 2014, when Rusty Stahl began as a Visiting Fellow in Residence to lay the research and intellectual groundwork. Today the project is funded by nearly a dozen major national and regional foundations, and offers educational programs to hundreds of funders and nonprofit leaders. It launched the innovative Fund the People Toolkit this fall, offering a plethora of free online resources to the field. This session will provide an update to the NYU Wagner community and share some of the project's ideas, research and tools. It will also be a chance to discuss how this work relates to the experiences and perspectives of NYU Wagner students, faculty, and staff.
