Each Tuesday, the Conflict, Security, and Development Series will examine new research, discuss creative policy approaches, and highlight recent innovations in responding to the challenges of security and development in conflict and post-conflict situations. 

This week, ​Professor Susan Woodward from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York will provide an analysis of the significant but counterproductive role played by the concept of failed states in shaping international order and intervention since the early 1990s.
