Alex Hayman is a Senior Lecturer of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience (clinic, hospital, medical group, health system, and health plan) in positions located throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. He is currently Vice President of Market Development at large (>$6B annual revenue) Primary Care Medical Group, where he is responsible for market entry and development, talent acquisition and retention, training, physician relationships, practice optimization and M&A activities.
Alex holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University, an Masters in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration from University of Central Florida. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is a Fellow and Board Certified Healthcare Executive (FACHE) (American College of Healthcare Executives), Board Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) (American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration), and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He is a member of the National Advocacy Committee (ASHHRA), San Antonio and Houston, TX American College of Healthcare Executives local chapters, and member (past president) of the Texas Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and Education.
Alex served in the U.S. Navy as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal-Diver-Marine Mammal Systems Trainer and later, in the U.S. Army, as a Medical Services Corps Officer. He is married to his beautiful wife, Tammie of 26 yrs; together, we have three wonderful children; twin 19 yr old girls, and 18 yr old son. He currently resides in New Braunfels, Texas.
