Andrew Shin is a Lecturer at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Andy Shin, JD, MPH, MBA, is Chief Operating Officer for the AHA Center for Health Innovation, whose purpose is to accelerate health system innovation through knowledge exchange, leadership development, data analytics, market intelligence, training, and strategic partnerships. Previously, he was COO of the Health Research and Educational Trust, the non-profit research and education affiliate of the AHA.
Mr. Shin has experience as a consultant for multinational manufacturers, industry trade groups, and the biopharmaceutical sector and also worked in equity research and leading growth, strategy, and partnerships for various healthcare non-profit organizations. Andy has also served in the federal government including on committee staff for the Energy and Commerce Committee during the drafting of the Affordable Care Act and helping to launch the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI), where amongst other responsibilities he led stakeholder engagement.
Mr. Shin also serves as faculty for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Catalyst Program, a collaborative initiative increasing the potential of innovative biomedical research from MIT to benefit society and the economy and is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Population Health Management.
