Erin Morgan Gore is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Director of Strategy at Purpose, an organization that creates new social and economic models driven by people and enabled by technology. Her experience includes more than a decade of work across a variety of non-profit fields and topics, including youth services, philanthropy, education, advocacy, and veterans’ services. Gore previously led social sector work in The Bridgespan Group’s New York office and the Boston Consultant Group's Boston and Stockholm offices.
Gore has spent time in rural Gujarat, India working with grassroots social workers to increase female educational enrollment as well as working with two children’s homes in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She was asked to join The Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC’s Young Leaders Committee and currently serves as an advisor to the sharing economy startup Weleet.co. Gore received degrees in Business and English from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Masters of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
The sharing economy is creating new business models, forcing traditional for-profit businesses to adapt or fall behind. The same will hold true for the social sector.
